Welcome back, Bulldogs! This summer was filled with great memories and events to remember, but this fall is all about the food! Now if you’re like me, sometimes you just need to get out of the cafeteria and try somewhere new. This summer, I was able to enjoy many new places, for both food and entertainment alike. For this issue, however, I’m talking about a local destination that has a little something for everyone – local wonder, Maywood Pancake House.

Being close to Paramus, this little restaurant is perfect if you are looking for somewhere for both breakfast and lunch selections. The best part? It also carries vegan dishes! Upon entering, you’ll notice there is plenty of seating, and the staff is very friendly! I was seated right away with littletono wait, but if you are in a rush, you can opt for take-out as well.

There are many great items to choose from, but for this trip, I chose to indulge in my one of my faves: The Vegan Breakfast Quesadilla. This breakfast staple will quench all your comfort food dreams, and it’s complete with home fries on the side. Not craving a quesadilla? No problem! If you are looking for breakfast, give the Vegan French Toast a try. It comes with three big slices of Challah toast and a choice of fruits on top. For lunch, I highly recommend going with the Vegan Chilli, complete with vegan cheese and vegan sour cream on the side (yum!)

Don’t worry meat eaters, I haven’t forgotten about you. There are plenty of options for you too! For breakfast, the Daddy-O combos give you the best bang for your buck. They include options for pancakes, waffles, or french toast, with a meat of your choice, and home fries to boot. For lunch, you can go with your typical cheeseburger and fries, or be a little more dangerous by trying a Panini Cubano. This sandwich delight includes pulled pork, roast turkey breast, swiss, pickles, and a side order of fries. With all you are getting at the mere price of $9.99, you really can’t go wrong. That’s it for this food journey, Bulldogs! Stay tuned for next issue to see where I’ll land up next. Until then, happy eating!
